Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
Its a dashboard oriented toward an IT audience, it if focused on organizing and presenting metrics that impact service to Its internal constituents.
Its a computer software program for the administration and audit of a pool of investments an organization dedicates to various business projects. It tracks and measures the status of investment activity through a range of key performance indicators.
There are two real challenges in this kind of dashboard compared to service dasboard – actually they are challenges with IT portfolio management in general:
- It is critical to embrace the philosophy that there are different types of IT projects (asset classes), each with a separate benefits (return) profile. I will write a separate post on this subject, but as an example, measuring an email upgrade using an ROI metric doesn’t make much sense. A portfolio with one asset class defeats the purpose of portfolio management.
Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.
1 The purpose of portfolio dashboard is to streamline the reporting process. The dashboard provides entrepreneurs with investment status reminders and a simple report-creation wizard. The service dashboard looks into the satisfaction of customers and the feedback.
Portfolio dashboards are often used by brokers and advisers to monitor and measure investment portfolio performance.Service gives the through out put in the course of business.
3.Portfolio provides the business maps ,financial reports and what if scenario while service provides the standards in terms of quality of the service and products.
I WOULD PREFER service because its simple and clear it doesn't need discipline to measure the actual benefits regularly after the
project has finished.
