Human rights are unified in every region of this world to become a subject in which
much priority is given. Both in the political and judicial sections of any country in the world, the
issue of human rights is present. They basically mean the rights and freedoms that are inherent to
human beings of all types and backgrounds. Examples of such include the freedom of speech and
from slavery. Additionally, people are entitled to enjoy the freedom of religion as well as
education. Different countries in the world have adopted various approaches to counter the
situations of violation of human rights with the help of global agencies such as the United
Nations. Human rights issues are all over the world, and the one that mostly tops all is the
problem of refugees. According to the Human Rights and Business (2016), the year 2016 saw the
highest number of women and girl refugees. They both contribute to a great percentage of the
migrant workers in the different countries making them critical for the economies they are
present in. However, such refugees do not have the best access to the social amenities that are
available to the rest of the population.
When the problem shifts to being an issue that affects the women, it then becomes challenging
for any state to develop as they mostly are the vessels that spark growth. Formal employment is
something that the refugees do not have which makes it hard for them to shift from a dependent
mode to a more independent state. As a result, the subject becomes a global one in which all
countries are required to make efforts in trying to alleviate the menace. When basic needs like
education and food are hampered for such individuals, it touches the important aspect of human
rights which must be tackled. The agency claims that the trend seems to be following suit in
2017 with little evidence of efforts to reduce the problem of refugees from the different
stakeholders. This paper will further evaluate how human right issues affect individual and
formulate proposal in order to solve this issue.
Democracy is the other critical human rights issue that significantly affects the present world.
It refers to the ultimate ideals that civilizations today fight so hard to achieve(Davenport, 1999).
The concept of democracy is the rule by the people where everyone has a say in the manner in
which leadership is done. However, this is not something that is outrightly observed in all
jurisdictions since some countries have totalitarian forms of rulership. It is prudent to note that
democratic principles run in line with the standards of freedoms such as speech. When people are
given the ability to express all that they feel is right, then it comes out as a sense of democracy
because they can air out their honest views regardless of the subject. Democracy also forms part
of ethics because it serves to check unaccountable power manipulation of the majority by the few
people put in governance(Kuhner, 2013). Such issues of democracy originate from the grassroots
levels where the people are not given the platforms to freely express their views on the existing
forms of leadership without any criticism. Therefore, their human rights based on free expression
of thoughts is greatly hampered in the process.

To understand the evolution of labor relations we must first know what is labor relation?
Labour Relations is the study of how employers and employees work together to create a fair
workplace. Whereas human resource management means management of the organization’s
manpower or workforce or human resources. It involves the study of people at work and the
activities associated with recruitment and selection, training and development, retention, and
occupational health and safety.
To understand the evolution of labor relations and human resource management, we can break
our study into three parts viz., Pre Industrial revolution, during the industrial revolution and postindustrial revolution. The pre-phase was the mostly agricultural-driven economy, and the
activities carried out for economic survival was carried out in the local community.
During the industrial revolution, the economy saw the transition from agricultural to industrial.
Modernization and increased means of communication gave way to industrial setup. A
department was set up to look into the wages of the worker’s, welfare and other related issues.
This led to the emergence of personnel management with the major task as (a) Worker’s wages
and salaries; (b) Worker’s record maintenance; (c) Worker’s housing facilities and health care.
This is the same period which also saw the emergence of the Labour relations and growth of
labor union. The workers working in the industries or factories were subjected to long working
hours and very fewer wages. This led to unrest, workers across the world started to protest and
this led to the establishment of Labour unions. To deal with labor issues at one end and
management at the other Personnel Management department had to be capable of politics and
diplomacy, thus the industrial relation department emerged.
Such include the issues of security that ought to be done by these individuals by applying
the appropriate administrative supervision and execution of sanctions confined in the law of the
land. The extent of public tasks and services given to the different administrators depend greatly
on the understanding of human rights and how they are to be addressed. When individuals are
given the task of working for the public because that is the basic thing that happens when a
public official is given particular position, they need to be well familiar with the existing rights
that need to be enjoyed by the everyday citizens (Onder & Brower, 2014). An example is when a
state’s official understands the importance of expression from the public, he/she can be able to
create platforms that will provide the citizens a channel in which they can air out their views. ...
