a bowling ball is dropped from a balloon tethered in place at an altitude of 1600 ft. the bowiling ball's height ( measured in feet) above ground t seconds after it is dropped is given by s(t)= -16t^2 + 1600. a camara is position at a latereal distance of 500 ft. from the base of the tether.

a) how fast is the distance between the camera and the bowling ball changing when the ball is at an altitude of 1200 ft?

b) if the camera is kept focused, how fast is the camera anfgke of elevation changing?

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

s(t)= -16t^2 + 1600.

1200 = -16t^2 + 1600

1200-1600 = .-16t^2

-400 = -16t^2

400/16 = t^2

t^2= 25

t=5 sec

distance changing = 500/5 = 100 ft/sec

anfgke of elevation changing will be 5 sec
