## Description

I've already factored it out to f(t) = -16(t - 1)(t - 5), but I'm unsure what to do from there.

## Explanation & Answer

First there is no x in the equation. Secondly if there is, then the equation will be

f(x) = - 16(x - 1)(x - 5)

y = - 16(x - 1)(x - 5)

So

To find x intercept, we put y = 0 then

0 = - 16(x - 1)(x - 5)

(x - 1)(x - 5) = 0

x - 1 = 0 , x - 5 = 0

x = 1 , x = 5

Hence x intercepts are 1 and 5

Week 11 Final Project - Transgender Research

Project: Final ProjectIn previous weeks of this course, you began thinking about and planning for your Final Project. By now, you should have selected a research question that interests you, identified the dataset that you will use to answer that question, and chosen a statistical test to analyze that data.Now it is time to move from the planning stages into the execution stage of your Final Project. As you work on your Final Project, keep these guidelines in mind:Present your research question clearly.Explain why you selected your dataset and the statistical test you applied to that dataset.Detail whether your test has statistical power or not.Use one of the statistical tests covered in this course.Visually display your results, in APA format.Detail how your findings might impact social change.Ensure that your Final Project is 7–10 pages in length, in APA format.

Discussion: Correlation

Question 8 APick any two variables that you feel may be related and estimate what you think the strength of the correlation coefficient would be for those two variables. In your response, estimate the value of r. For example, specify a strong (.7 to .9), medium (.4 to .6), or low (0 to .3) value for r. The value of the coefficient can be positive or negative. For example, consider an increase in police patrols in a neighborhood and the number of burglaries that occur in that neighborhood. I would say that would be a strong inverse relationship with an r-value of -0.8; as one (patrols) increases, the other (burglary rate) goes down. Describe the factors that you think would contribute to why the variables would have the relationship that you estimate it to be.Question 8 BNow that you have completed this course in Statistics, please describe a concept covered in the course that you feel might be of assistance to you now or in the future. For example, using charts and graphs to graphically describe data at your job, or using one of the sampling methods discussed at the beginning of the course to generate sample data. Please be specific in explaining how you would use what you have learned in class to your benefit.

Grossmont College Drinking Habits Statistics Lab Discussion

CONTEXTA university conducted a student survey, collecting data from a random sample of 236 undergraduate students.The data for this lab is a subset of the real data collected by the university. Some students did not answer all of the questions in the survey. We use the symbol * in the spreadsheet to indicate missing data. VARIABLESGender Male or FemaleAlcohol Number of alcoholic beverages consumed in a typical weekHeight Self-reported height (in inches)Cheat Would you tell the instructor if you saw somebody cheating on an exam? (0=No, 1=Yes)DATAIf you have not done so already, download the drinking (Links to an external site.) datafile, then upload the file in StatCrunch. PROMPTIn your initial discussion post, respond to each of the following after you download the drinking.xlsx file provided in the Data section below.Describe the distribution of weekly alcohol consumption using concepts from Unit 2.Make an appropriate graph and provide appropriate numerical summaries. To recall how to create these items, see the StatCrunch directions provided below.Describe the shape, center and spread using numerical measures that best describe the distribution.In your description, include an interval of typical values and a discussion of variability.Embed your StatCrunch graph in your initial post. To recall how to embed StatCrunch output, see the directions provided below.Do the data suggest that drinking is a problem in this university?Use the data to support your answer.NOTE: I will provide you the Canvas log in and password when you bid the question to view and understand the discussion better.
