How do you solve 3x^2 - 12x + 2 = 0 by factoring?

solution of  quadratic equation

x =(  - b +/- √ ( b^2 - 4 ac) )  / 2a

so here 

x = ( - -12 +/- √ ( -12^2 - 4*3*2 ) )  / 2 *3

   =   ( 12 +/- √ ( 144 - 24 ) )  / 6

  = ( 12 +/- √ ( 120) ) / 6

   =  ( 12 +/- √ (30*4) ) / 6

  = ( 12 +/-  2√ ( 30) ) / 6

 =  6 ( ( 2 +/-  1/3√ ( 30) ) /6 

 =   ( 2 +/-  1/3√ ( 30) ) 

  =  2 + √(30) / 3        or        2 -  √ ( 30) / 3 ....................................ANSWER


so soluton

x = 2 + √(30) / 3       or       2 -  √ ( 30) / 3
