A)  As 28 pounds of seeds are required to plant 4 acres of land,  therefore by applying unitary method,  1 pound of seeds would plant 4/28=1/7=1.428 acres of land.

B)  As Ashley could buy from $$7, 16 pounds of rice,  therefore by applying unitary method,  $$1 could buy 16//7 pounds of rice = 2.286 pounds of rice.
