What has the experience of learning about bias and discrimination been like for you?
Learning about bias and discrimination has been of tremendous effect in my

understanding about the eradication of prejudice in education and professional development. The
process has brought to light the kind of struggles that some children have to undergo in their
process of learning due to discrimination and bias by educators and other stakeholders. I have
also learned the values, principles and the methods that are applied in supporting the embracing
and respecting differences thus breaking down the strongholds of unfairness and bias. Finally, I
have learned about the goals of this education; that every child should be able to act confidently
and proud and possess positive social energy.
