associated with. The authors explore the exploitation that the African Americans went through
before the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was signed. They further illustrate the role that President
Lyndon Johnson played in pushing for voting rights in America considering that the African
Americans were denied the rights to vote. The authors provide an easy to understand illustration
how the bill on voting rights was signed into law. This article will offer support to my study by
explaining the events that took place in America before Johnson signed the Voting Rights Act of
1965.
