Question description

A company has an equal number of applicants of both genders for positions from an employer. The applicants have the same distribution of qualifications by gender. Thus, p = .50 = 50% is the expected probability that a hire is female. Yet, for the last 30 hires only 10 women(33.3%) have been hired. What is the expected number of female hires and how probable is it that only ten or fewer women would be hired?
