Cefuroxime is recommended to be taken by mouth usually twice a day-that is after every
12 hours or as may be directed by the physician. It is also recommended to take Cefuroxime with
food to increase its absorption and reduce stomach upset. Cefuroxime prescribed depending on
the patient’s age. For example a typical dosage for adults of 18 years and older are recommended
taking Cefuroxime 250 mg after every 12 hours for a period of 10 days.
