The organization should study their organization structure and identify whether there is a gap need to be filled. If they identified a gap in their organization structure, they need to know at what department it falls and then the role of that position. From there the will decide on what job specifications they will look for to match with the job descriptions for that post. If the position is new i.e. was not existing before, they have to discuss with HR and concerned department to establish whether there is need to have it in the first place and if they need it what kind of employee will they look for in terms of academic qualifications and job experience. The next step to follow is to advertise for the position using the relevant media giving details of the job advertised, specifications and qualifications for the potential applicants as well as closing date for application. The shortlisting will follow after closing date and then interviews will be called and then the best candidate meeting the job requirements will be hired and contract letter issued for the job after which a thorough induction will be given to the candidate.
