The Challenge of Every Great Philosophy
According to Nietzsche (1874), men are usually lazier as compared to how they are
timorous. In addition, what men usually fear most is the trouble which may arise as a result of
being honesty unconditionally. In a situation where a great thinker overlooks men, it is actually
their laziness which he overlooks. Any human being who does not wish to belong to the crowd
should stop being comfortable and satisfied of who he or she is (Nietzsche, 1874). Schopenhauer
does not consider the caste of scholars; he just stands apart and fights for the independence of
both the society and the state. This was his personal model of starting with the features which are
the most external. He did not even have a single friend who would comfort him during periods of
hardship. Also, there is no any single person who can understand the meaning of true solitude,
even if the entire world which is surrounding him or her is full of adversaries (Nietzsche, 1874).
