Female circumcision is considered one of the cruel cultural practices because it is a procedure
that involves the removal of female external genitalia. Even though most people reject the
practice, it is still practiced in many countries in Africa, some countries in Asia and Middle
Eastern and indigenous communities in south and central America among communities that
value it and continue to pass it from generation to generation. In countries in West Africa female
circumcision carries a major cultural significance in that it prepares a girl for the next stages in
