Introduction
The sharing of information and communication are very fundamental in a University
setting. Such importance is because universities use a significant number of computers ranging
from students to the staff. It is therefore through networking that the communication tools are not
isolated, that is, the several departments can communicate and share information as well as the
students. The purpose of a university computer network is to eliminate the barriers that might
exist or bar the several computer systems from sharing information, that is, to create a borderless
communication among the various levels that exist within the University (Brooks, 2013). It is
also through this that the staff and students can be able to remotely access programs that are set
to be accessed remotely and databases and therefore achieve a fast and efficient communication.
