Define rank. Explain how to find the rank for data which repeats (for example, the data set: 4, 5, 5, 5, 7, 8, 12, 12, 15, 18).

Rank refers to data transformation in which ordinal or numerical values are replaced  by there ranks when the data are sorted. In data which repeats, the largest  variable in this case 18 is given the highest order and the numbers that repeats given order in which they appear.
