Recommendations to ease bicep discomfort caused by muscke soreness

If you or a client is experiencing muscle soreness in the bicep what are your recommendations to ease the discomfort. Give a detailed answer and explain the reasons for your recommendations.

This a very painful sensation occurring in the muscles after a physical exercise. Biceps soreness is mostly a post exercise muscle soreness or also referred to as delayed onset muscle soreness. The pain have different etiologies e.g chemicals produced like lactate acid,the sensation is transimmitted by type iii and type vii afferent nerves.

Recommendations

There is no specific treatment ,but there is some steps that are reccommended to reduce pain

1. Use of painkillers e.g ibuprufen, In low dose will help lower the pain,which is the most significant clinical feature of muscle soreness.

2. Reduce the amount of exercise or the weight in the gym. Strain has shown to be the major cause of muscle soreness in gyming.

3. Hot or cold treatment . This lowers pain and causes muscle relaxation

.4. Massage to relax muscles

5 .warm bath
