Look around the site and scroll down to see examples of projects in which the agency is involved. Describe how FEMA reduces risk and applies various mitigation strategies (e.g., accept, minimize, share, and transfer) to the events they encounter.

FEMA tries to collaborate with federal, state, tribal, territorial and community partners and accept recommendations and suggestion that could be helpful in minimizing the impact of disaster. Then, based on these recommendation, a framework is chalked out. With the help of multi-hazard engineering science and advanced technologies, agencies tries to minimize risk and impact by thorough analysis. With the help of regulations, local ordinances, land use and building practices and mitigation projects, risk to property is reduced.
