What are the factors affecting credit history and credit scores? How can awareness of these
factors assist you in financial planning?
Factors affecting credit history and credit scores include payment history, credit usage,
length of credit history, types of credit on the report and number of credit inquiries
(Davenport, 2018). Being aware of these factors will encourage me in making sure that I
pay my bills on time to avoid lowering my credit score. I will be careful to avoid serious
payments issues which involve collections, bankruptcy, charge offs or repossession.
