Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Shinto is the native religion to most of Japanese that was first used in 6th century . It has been formative in creating a unique Japanese attitudes and sensitivities, creating a distinct Japanese consciousness.

The most important root of Shinto religion is _The believe in Kami - a divine  being which to them is a spiritul being and also exists in nature as it is in mountains, rivers among others. That unlike all-powerful divines like those of western religions, kami is an abstract of creative forces in nature. In addition, Shinto followers are supposed to live in harmony with nature.

Shinto is not always considered a religion. This is because it has no founder, no official sacred texts and it also has no formalized system of doctrine.
