In addition, you studied the power that the judiciary can wield within the federal bureaucracy. After you have fully reviewed the aforementioned concepts, compose a paper which discusses the following topics:
- In one of your reading assignments, you read that some people think that the bureaucracy is more than just a system executing the wishes of government officials. According to some people, the bureaucracy is the real government. Do you agree with this statement? Why, or why not?
- Outline the structure, functions, and nature of the federal bureaucracy and the judicial system.
- Discuss how the judiciary can serve to curb some of the power of the bureaucracy as well as other branches of the government.
- Explain the concept of the "iron triangle," and offer an example of how it can influence policymaking.

Federal Bureaucracy description as per the 20th century is an advance and operational
method that governs large and sophisticated societies. According to American people,
bureaucrats are people who perform their work in government. And the question is how
important are they in the governmental agencies? Some say that they are the real government the
one controlling the strings, the once working while politicians are busy enjoying the moment.
The bureaucracy is comprising of many employs including contractor. According to people’s
view, I agree with the statement as it is evident that things run by people with the oversight of the
Congress.
The bureaucracy administers, regulate and implements programs which are in the
executive branch. There are different types of organization which include the following:
The cabinet department: It is the largest unit in the bureaucracy which has the obligation
in large areas in the government process such as foreign policy and law implementation. In the
department, they arranged in the different form of powers which include offices, division,
agencies, and the bureaus. There are 15 agencies elected by the law to be departments. Each of
this department has an obligation of controlling a comprehensive financial plan overseen by the
Congress. It is controlled by a secretary who is selected by the president as well as permitted by
the Senate.
Independent agency: these are the organization that is outside branch made by Congress
and do not function under the jurisdiction of the cabinet. These agencies are NASA, CIA, and
EPA. Board’s participants elected by the president heads this agency and approved by Congress.
These agencies deal with broad issues extending from safety products to nuclear plant licensing.
Agencies that handle such kind of problems include federal energy regulatory commission
among others.

Government Corporation; these are agencies that charge a fee for rendering services.
They get part or all of their finance from the various organization and managed by panels
selected by the president. An example is the TVA that offers electricity distribution and handles
control flooding project in large areas of the United States.
Regulatory commissions: during the industrial revolution in the 19th century an
economic regulation provoked, the government ensured that the public’s interest was protected
and provided there was a proper operation in the economy. Its formation was intended to
remove politics away from the regulation, but many commissions are united.
The size of the federal bureaucracy: size, however, has been an issue whereby politician
proposes to decrease the number and improve the effectiveness of the administration. Since 1960
the number has not increased proving that the politicians succeeded. They accomplished this by
expanding the size of employees. The workforce in the federal includes 1.5 million military
personnel and postal workers who are around 850,000.
Government thickening: from the belief on the commands and the contracts, there is little
interaction between servants. Despite the numbers of civil servants being constant, the seniors
and appointees number become more quintupled.
The judicial can help to control some powers of the bureaucracy by utilizing the
Authority from other sections of the government which include the legislative and the executive.
The judicial power is to bring down law that is unconstitutional. It oversees the use of its Ability
by each of branch example the rules that the executive branch uses to keep law and the policy
that should be followed by the administrative section when carrying out their role. The role it
portrays in serving and controlling the bureaucracy is uncertain. It has been an instrument in

increasing the authorities of the government to a broader area at the cost of the state’s powers.
The critical matter involves the Supreme Court not changing its situation as it is difficult for
some instance to replace it. This just means that the power of the government equivalent to that
of increasing power (Help & Politics, 2019). This result to the judiciary not being dependable in
checking the powers of the government.
