Background statement
Blake in the case study observed that many poor individuals in his home country
wet without shoes, therefore, their feet were infected, had sores and full of blisters. As a
result of the observation, he decided to start the production and provision of shoes to
these individuals as a form of a charity drive.
In summary the case study provides information of a 29 year old man called
Blake who owns four businesses and is intending on opening a new venture that entails
opening a shoe production line. He did not have a good understanding of Spanish and
the market therefore had to move from Argentina to his home land, America. He sort a
partner and together they developed a prototype of alpargatas canvas shoes. He is an
entrepreneur who decided on running a profitable shoe production business and for
every pair sold, he always gave out one pair to a needy child. He did not receive the
support he anticipated rather was pushed away. However, he persisted and was able to
get his story in the media thus support increased and now he runs a successful charity
venture known as Start Something That Matters Foundation. In addition, needy people
from 60 countries are beneficiaries of the shoes.
The organization is a new venture, whereby Blake is the sole controller of all the
activities that go on in the company hence he is the decision maker. The hired interns
help him in the shoe production.
Major problems and secondary issues
The major problem highlighted in the case study is the problem of availability and
affordability of shoes to the needy people in the society that Blake was keen on
venturing into finding the solution. The case study provides a scenario whereby poor
people in society have their feet not in a good shape as a result...

Tutor went the extra mile to help me with this essay. Citations were a bit shaky but I appreciated how well he handled APA styles and how ok he was to change them even though I didnt specify. Got a B+ which is believable and acceptable.
