Brad Walked to the shore. There he saw 4 rocks lying side to side. Resting on the rocks were crabs. each rock had 2 more crabs than the rock to its left. There were 56 crabs in all. From left to right, how many crabs were on each rock

Crabs on fourth rock=17 crabs

Total crabs=11+13+15+17=56 crabs

crabs added in 2nd rock=2

crabs added in third rock=2+2=4

crabs added in third rock=4+2=6

Total crabs added from left to right=2+4+6=12

now minus the added crabs from the total crabs we get 56-12=44

as there are total 4 crabs so divide the 44 on 4 rocks.44/4=11

Crabs on first rock=11 crabs

Crabs on second rock=13 crabs

Crabs on third rock=15 crabs

Crabs on fourth rock=17 crabs

Total crabs=11+13+15+17=56 crabs
