Description
Financial Statement Review
Download the annual reports for the last two fiscal years of the publicly-traded company you selected in week one. Review this week’s readings on financial statement analysis in the text, and substitute the financial statements of your company and address the following:
- Use the last two fiscal years financial statements of the publicly-traded company you selected and calculate the following financial ratios:
- Calculate the profit margin (net income/net sales) and asset turnover (net sales/total assets) to compute the return on assets (ROA). Now introduce the equity multiplier (total assets/total equity) to find the return on equity (ROE).
- On the basis of your calculations, describe how each of the three components (profit margin, asset turnover, and leverage) contributed to the change in your company’s ROA and ROE. Which component(s) contributed the most to the change in ROA? Which contributed the most to the change in ROE?
- Explain if these changes are fundamentally healthy for the company.
Your paper should be three- to five- pages in length (excluding the title and reference pages) and formatted according to APA style

Trident University Stock and Bond Valuation SLP
Stock and Bond ValuationFor your second SLP assignment, continue to do research on the company you chose to write about for your Module 1 SLP. This time you will be doing research about the valuation of the company to try to determine if its stock price is overvalued or undervalued. You can use Google Finance, Yahoo Finance, or similar Web pages to find the financial information about this company.Write a 2- to 3-page paper with the following items:
What is the P/E ratio of this company? How does the P/E ratio compare to other companies in this industry? Based on the P/E ratio, do you think the company is overvalued or undervalued?
Find the company’s balance sheet. Calculate the book value of each share. This can be done by taking the total assets and subtracting total liabilities. Then divide the number you get by the total number of outstanding shares. Is the number you get higher or lower than the current price of the share? Based on what you’ve found, would you say the stock is overvalued or undervalued?
Finally, do a search on what different analysts have to say about your company. Do they generally recommend buying the stock or selling the stock? What reasons to they give for their assessment? Find at least three analyst reports about this company.

Unit 5 DB Personal Values and Treatment
The Discussion Board (DB) is part of the core of online learning. Classroom discussion in an online environment requires the active participation of students and the instructor to create robust interaction and dialogue. Every student is expected to create an original response to the open-ended DB question as well as engage in dialogue by responding to posts created by others throughout the week. At the end of each unit, DB participation will be assessed based on both level of engagement and the quality of the contribution to the discussion. At a minimum, each student will be expected to post an original and thoughtful response to the DB question and contribute to the weekly dialogue by responding to at least two other posts from students. The first contribution must be posted before midnight (Central Time) on Friday of each week. Two additional responses are required after Friday of each week. Students are highly encouraged to engage on the Discussion Board early and often, as that is the primary way the university tracks class attendance and participation. The purpose of the Discussion Board is to allow students to learn through sharing ideas and experiences as they relate to course content and the DB question. Because it is not possible to engage in two-way dialogue after a conversation has ended, no posts to the DB will be accepted after the end of each unit.Scenario:You are member of a prisoner review board for a minimum security facility in your state. Included amongst the inmates are a number of heroin addicts who were charges with possession crimes and some minor thefts in which they supported their habits. Please include answers in your main posting for the following questions 3-5 Paragraphs:What are the methods of treatment for heroin addiction? What is the difference between heroin detoxification and heroin addiction treatment? What is the best method for insuring the heroin addict does not return to heroin abuse? Does long term incarceration play a role?
