Formal Similarities and Differences
A closer analysis of the works of the two female artists, Barbara Kruger, and Carrie Mae
Weems, reveals a number of formal similarities and differences in their pieces of work. There are
a number of similarities in their works. Both artists make use of photography that makes use of
images that are lifted from different sources. They both make use of black and white images in
