Technology and social media have had both negative and positive effects on art galleries
and museums around the world. The traditional museums and art galleries were built as quiet
places where people would go and interact with the art in quiet places. However, the changes in
technology and the introduction of social media have had major changes in the traditional way of
doing things. Reports indicate that adult visits to museums have declined over the years since the
year 2000 (Wood, 2018). The main reason for this kind of decline can be attributed to the lack of
