Question Description

As we read in Week 1, there are multiple types of autobiographies. A personal narrative does not need to be about your entire life or one specific event. For the purposes of our course, I want you to explore and discover your core values and morals. *If you are uncomfortable doing so, please speak with me privately about an alternative writing assignment*

My Autobiography

I am a student from China, I found myself in the United States to study and pursue my
career path. The idea to consider the United States came about after my parents wanted me to
acquire more skills to be able to manage the family company. Before me coming to the United
States, I had a life in my own country. Through the support of my family, I had successfully
gone through the entire education system, and I was able to qualify to study in any foreign
country.
While back in China, I had a lot of friends, some of them we schooled with, while others
associated with me because I came from a wealthy background. The status our family had in the
society gave me the confidence that I required. I was socially active and outgoing at the same
time. I could take my friends for outings to enjoy and pass the time. In most cases, money was
not a problem. We could afford to go at higher social class joints to party or meet some
celebrities from other parts of the world and even China. I this social joints, we also interacted
with people of high social class, just like media was a son to a rich man and thus being present at
such like points was no big deal, since after a while my father would obviously make me the
CEO of his company as I was the only outright successor.
My early school life was not easy, and I had to balance between the studies and the fact
that sometimes I felt like I was wasting time. The attitude towards education was not that perfect
as our family had everything that we wanted and school was only but a by the way. I was not a
decimal performer even in that case, at the end of every term, I managed to perform averagely,
and that was enough for me. My parents were always satisfied with whatever grade I got and will
be happy forever and giving me gifts was just the order of the day.
