Identify 3 problems that can occur during the process of familial visitation with the offender
prior to her release from incarceration
Some of the major issues that offenders experience during familial visitation includes
emotional issues, stress, financial issues as well as social issues. Emotional issue can be very
challenging to deal with mostly in cases when the offender has a child or children. Most children
do not understand why their mothers are in these strange places and why they are not able to come
home with them. Emotional problems are likely to cause strain to the whole family. Social issues
affect the offenders as well as their families because they are used to a certain schedule and way
of living. Financial issue is a major problem for most mothers in incarceration. They worry that
the person taking care of their families might get tight on money because the offender is not in a
position to offer any financial support. All offenders deal with stress during their incarceration.
How will those problems affect the relationship between the mother and her family once she
