Question Description

This letter will serve to advise you of my decision from your disciplinary hearing held on January 24, 2019. During your hearing, we discussed the incident that occurred on December 14, 2018. During our discussion at your conduct hearing, we spoke about the charge in this incident- “Violation of a Guide to Residence Hall Living Policies.” You informed me about yourself and your goals in life and here at Northeastern. You stated that you were not in the room at the time of the incident but that the information was relayed to you as you had left for the Winter break. You shared with me that you thought you left your room in appropriate condition for closing, but upon receipt of the notification that your room did not pass inspections you proceeded to clean it thoroughly. Lastly, you acknowledged that were aware of the cleanliness policies in place for the room, specifically for health and safety checks as well as move-out/ closing at the end of the semester. I certainly appreciate your willingness to accept responsibility for your actions and your role in this situation. As a result of these findings, your disciplinary probation is being extended from Summer II Semester through the Fall 2019 semester. Please be aware of what the University's policies and expectations are and how violating those policies could hurt your future at the University and in your career. Note that future violations of the Code of Conduct will result in increased sanctions. Based upon this information as well as careful consideration of all other information provided at the hearing, I have issued the following findings for the charge(s) under consideration: Based upon the nature of the violation(s) and consideration of any disciplinary history (if applicable), the following sanctions have been imposed: Disciplinary probation, effective Summer II Semester 2019 and continuing through the completion of Fall Semester 2019. Disciplinary probation is a formal warning for violating the Code of Student Conduct. If you are found responsible for violating the Code during your period of probation, you are subject to more serious sanctions being imposed upon you. You are required to write an essay of at least 1,250 words addressing the following questions: • Reflect on the policy you were found in violation of: why does it exist? What purpose does it serve? • How was your behavior inconsistent with the University's expectations? • If placed in a similar situation again, how would your actions be similar or different? Why? • Considering your disciplinary history, what is your plan for keeping yourself in good standing for the rest of your time at Northeastern? • What challenges might you face while trying to stay in good standing? Be specific. • What are some strategies you can use to help you remain in good standing? Be specific. • How is your environment (i.e. friends, location, activities) a factor in the success of this strategy? • If you were found responsible for another violation, what would your sanction most likely be? What would the personal, academic and financial repercussions be if this were to happen? • What is the most important thing you have learned from this experience?

Cleanliness policies are vital in every organization since they ensure that the
surroundings are hygienic. Notably, a clean environment is pivotal, especially in an organization
since it prevents diseases brought about by unsanitary conditions. My goals and objectives of
being at the Northeastern University involved studying while observing all the regulations
including policies for the betterment of the institution. According to rules of the institute,
students are supposed to leave their rooms in appropriate condition, especially during closing
times of the semester. However, during the semester end, it is alleged that my room did not pass
the inspection since I left it in unappropriated condition.
Nevertheless, after the receipt of the notification, I went ahead and cleaned my room
thoroughly. Therefore, the university extended my disciplinary probation to the summer II
semester. This paper deliberates on the policy that I have violated, the inconsistency of the
behavior towards the university expectations, my plans of staying a good stand during my
probation time, and the challenges I might face while trying to act accordingly. Further, the paper
will scrutinize on the strategies I can employ to help me remain in a good stand during the
probation period, the impact of my environment towards my plan, my sanction if found in the
same situation again, and the lesson learned from the experience.
In the previous semester the northeastern university, ...

Tutor went the extra mile to help me with this essay. Citations were a bit shaky but I appreciated how well he handled APA styles and how ok he was to change them even though I didnt specify. Got a B+ which is believable and acceptable.
