Fire breakout in schools has been one of the tragedies facing both university and colleges.
It has been a problem that has led to many states in the USA create laws that ensure dormitory
safeties in schools. Despite all the trials made by the government in reducing losses caused by fire
breakouts in schools, most of the fire incidents have been caused by the students and the negligence
of the institutions’ administration. In this article, I will review two news article that reported fire
incidences in various university and after that recommend on some of the ways that the university
could use to prevent fire tragedies. I am so remorseful of my engagement in smoking, and I am
profoundly sorry for this addiction that has been costing me a lot, and if not controlled it may even
lead to fire-related accidents in school. For this self-criticism paper, I have decided to research on
the fire incidence that occurred in the University of Nebraska Omaha and that that occurred at San
Jose dorm.
