2. Discuss organizational, presidential and professional leadership roles in HIS and technology.
Is one type of leadership more important than the other? How have these three areas of
leadership helped others? Have they hindered the progress of HIS and technology in any way?
HIS is an acronym which stands for Hospital information system. It is quite evident that
the availability of credible and verifiable patient records is an integral part of availing quality and
timely healthcare for patients and its convenience to the health professionals cannot be
overemphasized. Hospital information systems and technology cannot be achieved without the
different important roles played by varying stakeholders. The three main actors in the realm of
HIS and technology are at the organizational, presidential and professional level and they are in
my opinion quite essential in ensuring HIS and technology in the entire United States achieves
