Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

HOW TO SOLVE:

FIRST CRITERIA: As x becomes a large positive number

first let x be 1 and  and then 2 so that we observe behavior of y

when x is 1

y= 1+2 =3

when x=2

y =2^3 +2 (2^2)

y= 8 +8 = 16

as x becomes a large positive number y also becomes a large positive

SECOND CRITERIA: As x becomes a large negative number

first let x be -2 and  and then -3 so that we observe behavior of y

when x=-2

y =(-2)^3 + 2(-2^2)

y = -8 +8 =0

when x =-3

y = -9

therefore, as x becomes a large negative number y also becomes a large negative number
