"Now, the US has a president who openly campaigns alongside Fox’s most prominent commentators, hires former Fox employees for top executive branch posts, and depends on Fox to both carry his message to his supporters as well as give him positive reinforcement for a job well done. In light of these circumstances, the notion that Fox is simply another partisan news outlet is increasingly under attack. Fox no longer deserves to be treated as news, some argue, but as something more akin to state propaganda".

The aspects of the film that are valid are Fox News is a political propaganda machine. The film
demonstrates the muddled approach of mixing news and opinions significantly reducing
objectivity fairness and balance.
Using the five media literacy analysis as proposed by Art Silverblatt demonstrates the role and
purpose of Fox news. First, the goal of the television channel is to portray the Republican Party
in good light and the Democratic Party in a negative light. The approach shows a lack of
objectivity to allow the public to decide in the face of strong media influence. Instances where
the Republican Party associates are at fault, the Station chooses to ignore the news items and
instead focus on trivial none-news items. A case in point was an incidence of school shooting
being ignored and instead propaganda taking a large news space.
