Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

1.Ways  in which rates and forms of violence differ

Violence is defined  as "the intentional use of physical force or power, threatened or actual, against oneself, another person, or against a group or community, which either results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, psychological harm.

nly its manifestations in different cultural environments are perceived differently. This fundamental point should help explain the situation, and throw into doubt general and vague claims such as “Islam degrades women”, “domestic violence is a Muslim matter..

Different cultures has got different ways to rate and identify an abuse or violence

According to the culture of some communities violence is vied differently depending if it was within or not within the norms

Murder for example can be punished  if it was not done within the cultural norms of the particular community

Practicing witchcraft is only a cultural violence which is punished and not punished depending on the cultures of that particular community. Its therefore the rates and forms differ according to the tribe.

  • Identify at least two (2) reasons why you believe your chosen differences exist.                               Culturally violence is the prevailing attitudes and beliefs that justify and legitimize the structural violence, making it seem natural. Feelings of superiority/inferiority    based on class, race, sex, religion, and nationality are inculcated in us as children and shape our assumptions about us and the world. They convince us this is the way things are and they have to be.According to different religions   some violence  are seen as  valid  for example result of adultery is death according to teachings of Koran                                                      Concerning murder ,i think Christianity does not kill  in an event of a sin while Muslim kill                             Different forms exist because of varying precedents in that particular community and also the rules laid down.

Thanks for your help! What is this suppose to say, "nly its manifestations in different cultural environments are perceived differently. This fundamental point should help explain the situation, and throw into doubt general and vague claims such as “Islam degrades women”, “domestic violence is a Muslim matter.."? the first couple words or word is cut off?

I am  very sorry , i think my machine has got problems.

Though  violence  affects everyone ,only its manifestations in different cultural environments are perceived differently. This fundamental point should help explain the situation, and throw into doubt general and vague claims such as in Islam religion, where women are degraded, This is just an example on how different cultures perceive violence.Every culture has its own kind of treating violence.

Violent behaviour is strongly influenced by cultural and social norms; so efforts to prevent violence must consider how social pressures and expectations influence individual behaviour.

Thank you.

At the heart of prejudice lies two concepts: ignorance and fear.Cultural violence is deeply rooted in prejudice, because cultural violence tend to lie mostly on religous aspect and traditional its evident that some members of different groups are seen as inferior .  All of us tend to have prejudicial attitudes towards others. This type of prejudice or "pre-judgment" is based on ignorance. It is a normal human response to racial, social, sexual and other forms of differences leading to cultural violence, because all human beings tend to prejudge others on the basis of limited knowledge, especially if they are different from us.
