Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

SOCIETAL FACTORS: employment, housing, migration and family status

INDIVIDUAL FACTORS: lack of exercise and excess caloric intake.

It leads to increased risk of morbidity and  mortality from a number of chronic conditions including non insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, coronary heart disease, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, osteoarthritis and certain cancers

Conflict theorists would explain the problem of obesity by emphasizing the inequality in the quality of food between the proletariats and the bourgeoisie.Society’s inequities along social class, race and ethnicity, and gender lines are reproduced in our food production, manufacturing and distribution.

Functionalist theorists would explain the problem of obesity by saying that good health is necessary for all members of society to perform their roles. It impairs our ability to perform our roles in society, and if too many people are unhealthy, society’s functioning and stability suffer

Symbolic Interactionists would explain the problem of obesity by saying that obesity has little or no objective reality but instead is only considered a condition if it is defined such by society.

Obesity is a known health risk, but a “fat pride” or “fat acceptance” movement composed mainly of heavy individuals is arguing that obesity’s health risks are exaggerated and calling attention to society’s discrimination against overweight people.

Accordingto my research I  will base my views on conflict theory
