    Strategic marketing at Kaiser Permanente
    Kaiser Permanente, also known as KP, is the largest managed care organization in the
    US. The organization operates in eight states and Washington, DC as a consortium whose
    focus covers patient safety and satisfaction, the efficiency of services, low costs of care, and
    high quality of services. Through the years, the organization has continued to expand its
    services offering and also its geographical presence. As stated in the company’s website,
    some of its services include wellness programs, clinical health services, alternative medicine,
    palliative care, social work services, nutritional support and consultation, health coaching and
    education, and disease management, among others (1). In addition to health services, the
    organization also provides insurance cover to people in five states and Washington, DC. In
    relation to KP’s service offering, this paper analyzes the characteristics of the products and
    services offered by the company, its competitive environment, available tools of the
    marketing mix, possible pricing strategies, and a recommendation of a curse of action for its
    strategic marketing success.

    KP targets different market segments. As has been described in the paragraph above,
