Introduction
In the TED talk by Ethan Nadelmann Why we need to end the War on Drugs
Nadelmann explains the various ways in which the United States is engaging towards
eradicating the use of the various hard drugs in the country. Many states have engaged in
enacting various policies that would help to eradicate the use of drugs, but this has not bear
fruits due to the forces of demand and supply that controls the drugs industry. Nadelmann in
the TED talk provides solutions that would help to end the war on drugs since it has not bear
any positive outcomes. In the talk, Nadelmann asserts that there is a need for learning to live
with drugs so that it can cause the least harm and possible significant benefits. The ideas
presented in the talk and whether I agree or disagree with the arguments presented by
Nadelmann in the talk will be discussed in detail.
