The three main issues addressed by personality theories include the behavior, social
cognitive, and psychoanalysis (John, Robins, & Pervin, 2010). One question that behavioral
theories raise is how surroundings shape behavior. One the other hand, socio-cognitive theories
raise questions on how social learning is essential for individuals. Psychoanalysis theories focus
on how the unconscious or mental development influences individuals.
