BENEFIT OF SKIPPER:

 Skippers provide an important function in the ecosystem as  pollinators of flowering plants. Ecologically, they also are very important as part of food chains, consuming plant matter as caterpillars and largely nectar as adults, and being consumed—as eggs, caterpillars, pupae, or adults—by a large variety of animals.

PEST OF SKIPPER:

Host range: Turmeric,ginger, arrow root, cardamom and wild lily.
Damage symptoms:
Larvae webs leaves with silken threads, fold the leaves into a tubular form and feed on them
