The author states that the increasing number of Mexican immigrants is a disaster for the poor
security witnesses in different parts of New York, especially in Manhattan. He states that there is
a close connection between these immigrants in this city and a specific gang controlled area in
Mexico called Ticuani. Due to the increase in Mexicans in the city, the author feels that the
security of New York would continue to deteriorate. With no jobs, these young people end up
joining gangs so that they can earn a living. They join members of most gangs they find in the
city, and because they are from the same region, they assimilate when. These practices have
increased membership in these group which in turn affects the security of New York. According
to the author, security organs should increase their vigilance and trace these undocumented
immigrants wherever they are as they are the root cause of poor security in the city.
