-3 radical 48 means -3(48)1/2

As we know that:
   48=16X3

      =4X4X3

      =42X3

Therefore (48)1/2 can be simplified to:

(48)1/2 = 4X (3)1/2

-3 radical 48 can be simplified to -3X4X (3)1/2  i.e. -12radical 3

Therefore -3 radical 48 can be expressed as -12 radical 3
