Death investigations will be generally done by a medical examiner who will also be
the individual to fill the death certificate of the deceased. The filling of the death certificate
will, however, focus on three factors which will include the manner of death, the cause that
brought about the demise of the individual and mechanism. The cause of death will focus on
the injury or a particular disease that led to the demise of the individual. One example which
can be used will be a gunshot at the back of the person's head which lead to the death of the
individual. The mechanism will focus on the physiological disorder that would have led to
the demise of the individual such as blood loss. The manner of death, however, will fall under
four main classifications which will include natural, suicide, accidental death and homicide.
Under criminal law, the categorization when it comes to the manner of death will also include
pending and undetermined.
There are differences which can be found in the four main categories of death. A
natural death will be due to natural causes. The demise may be brought about by extenuating
medical factors which may or may not be a terminal illness. Furthermore, the body will cease
to function on its own accord. Natural death will profoundly differ with death which will be
classified as a homicide. Homicide will revolve around a pre-meditated murder since an
