Employee programs are created by an institution, specifically by the human resource
management team to help improve the productivity of its employees. Employee programs vary in
different organizations according to their needs, and the programs could be either coaching
programs, performance management programs, employee wellness programs, orientation
programs, motivation programs among others. For this discussion, three technology companies,
Apple, Lenovo Group and Samsung Electronics are based in the United States, China, and South
Korea respectively. The paper focuses on how the three companies conduct coaching,
performance management, and employee wellness programs in their countries, how these
programs enhance employee retention, productivity, and any additional modifications.
Apple is a technological company that owns and controls the production and sale of
mobile phones, computer software, and other online services. Ronald Wayne and Steve Wozniak
were the founders of the company. Apple has had significant development over the years
because of its quality products. The company first produced its first phone, the iPhone, which
had super qualities of memory size, sound, storage size, and functional connectivity. Henceforth,
Apple went ahead to introduce better iPhones, laptops, and online services. The growth of Apple
can not only be accounted to its founders but mainly on its able and qualified employees. This
means that the employees are a vital asset to the continuity of the company and it requires to treat
them with all kinds of programs to maintain their performance (Khan, Alam & Alam, 2015).
Apple understands that employee coaching is a vital segment for its operations
considering that it deals with products that require high attention. Training and coaching is the
first step that the company takes when it hires new employees. Apple is careful of the first
impression it will create to its new employees and takes employee orientation seriously.
Secondly, when there are new positions that are vacant in the organization, the current staff is
