Do you believe the media glamorized this celebrity's drug use or that they demonized them for their addiction? What is your suggestion for how this case should have been handled, ideally?

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

The media has always remained to be the major tool of communication and influence between celebrities and their fans. It has sometimes misrepresented facts about celebrities and their drug addiction and hence passing bad influence to the society. Many of our celebrities today are addicted to drug and alcohol but the media puts it like it has become cool these days to remain intoxicated or high with some substance. The celebrities show that if you are not high on something then you belong to the old world. this glamorization of drug use is causing problems to both the celebrities in terms of interpersonal, professional, and health or mental health consequences of addiction, but also the young people who admire them

The even darker side of this glamorization is evident in the music industry where for example various rappers use drugs openly in their videos. The issue of drug and substance abuse should insted be addressed by the media more keenly where they should dwell much on the dangers of addiction other than glamorize drug use.
