Let us suppose that linear function intercept y axis at (0,n); we put this in the above equation , we then have

6x0-4n=12,

n=-12/4

    =-3

Thus the linear function intercept y axis at (0,-3).

Let us suppose that linear function intercept x axis at (m,0); we put this in the above equation , we then have

6xm-4x0=12;m=12/6=2

Thus the linear function intercept x-axis at (2,0).

Thus , the linear function intercepts x-axis and y-axis at (2,0) and (0,-3) respectively.
