Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Part a.

To determine the graph or to plot the graph you just need to use your function

Select three points of x in random eg  1 2 3

Use your equation to determine the corresponding values of y

eg when x = 1

y=-5(1)^3= -5

Do the same for the other points. Then check to see which graph will fulfill the above points.

part b

The graph is symmetric about the origin because every point on the right hand side is reflected on the left hand side and vice versa about the origin(0, 0)

You can read about other symmetrys here

http://www.themathpage.com/aprecalc/symmetry.htm

Part c

To determine the increament or decreament value or interval. You look at the appearance of the graph.

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.

We use the x values to determine if the graph is increasing or decreasing.

the graph is increasing  from point -infinity  towards infinity

 graph is decreasing  from point infinity   towards -infinity

Answer is therefore

The graph is decreasing on the interval (infinity) U (-infinity) and increasing on the interval (-infinity) U (infinity)
