A box is filled with 2  blue cards,  2yellow cards, and  16 red cards. A card is chosen at random from the box. What is the probability that it is a blue or a red card?

Write your answer as a fraction in simplest form.

probability of picking blue card =2/20

which is 1/10

probability of picking red card is =16/20

which is 8/10

the word OR refers to +

hence the probability of picking red or blue =8/10+1/10

the answer is 9/10
