include the adoption of teams rather than individuals working to ensure that the employees of a
company are moving in the same direction towards the achievement of the established goals.
Working in groups has been critical in the identification of individual member skills and
competencies as well as the application of these abilities in the optimal performance of teams
and the organization in general. Although groups have contributed to the overall performance of
a company through increased productivity and profitability, they have also been faced with
significant challenges that necessitate solutions to ensure the effectiveness of working in groups.
The paper discusses the challenges faced by teams as well as the possible solutions to the

Ineffective Communication
Communication is a critical component of the effectiveness and efficiency of working in
teams. Effective communication ensures the availability and flow of information between
members necessary for decision making. It is critical that active channels of communication are
established to ensure the ease in the flow of communication between team members to support
