GENESIS ONE AND TWO
The Relationship between Men and Women
The book of Genesis speaks about the creation story which took place for six days.
Genesis chapter one and two talk about the creation, which began from the first day to the sixth
day and everything which God created was pleasing. After God used the term; let there be, and
everything got made. After God had created all of the other things, he created man on the sixth
day of the creation week. God used clay to create man, and he saw his creation as good in
Genesis one versus thirty-one (Barker & Burdick, 1985). The relationship between men and
women reveals itself in Genesis chapter 2 when God created woman from man’s rib. Genesis

women is divine and very important for the well-being mankind.
An important aspect of the relationship between men and women is first presented in
Genesis chapter 1. According to Genesis one, both men and women are created in the image of
God. Genesis chapter 1 verse 27 states, “So God created man in His own image; in the image of
God He created him; male and female He created them” ...
