The students who were involved in smoking are me and my friend Colin. It is too cold outside so that we decide to smoke inside. I was caught smoking in university dorm. I need to write a self criticism paper.

Campus Fires
Introduction
Incidences involving fire in university and college campuses have been witnessed
throughout the history of higher learning. Most of these fires have primarily been associated with
human activity such as smoking. The number of injuries and deaths related to the same has also
resulted in the need to address the issue before it gets out of hand. Based on past events, various
colleges have taken initiatives to eradicate the possibility of a fire occurring by implementing
policies such as not admitting students, visitors or employees who are smokers (Steinberg).
While various measures have been put in place to reduce the possibility of fire breakouts in
campuses, the duty of ensuring a safe and secure environment lies squarely with the ability of the
stakeholders involved to adhere to the safety standards as required by law. The stakeholders, in
this case, include the student, faculty members, as well as the entire staff that works at college
campuses. This is a collaborative responsibility that can only work if everyone involves plays
their part as expected.
