Heath is very essential to an individual as it leads to them being active and productive
throughout their lives. As such people seek medical treatment whenever they feel sick. Some
people are usually at more risk of contracting a disease as compared. The environment where
they live as well as their lifestyle are some of the key factors that determine the risk that a person
faces to contracting diseases and disorders. Some of the disease-causing pathogens lives prefers
to live in certain environments hence making people living in such areas to be more likely to
contract the disease. People living in swampy areas for instance risks contracting water-borne
diseases. For this reason, the environment in which an individual lives in determines the risk of
them contracting a disease. Lifestyles such as eating habits of a person are also key determinants
of the risks they face in contracting a disease. Sugary and fatty foods, for instance, are associated
with diseases such as diabetes and heart diseases. In addition to the environment and lifestyle of
an individual, the family history of a person is also another key factor that determines the risk of
contracting a disease. Genetic disorders can be passed from one generation to another hence a
family with a history of certain disorders are likely to show up in one of two or the family
